I sat in a car for a long time. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 3,721 miles. I drove up with some cool cats by the name of Mandy and Chris. Mandy already posted about it here.

We did it in 7 days, and stopped by some rad places. We saw a wolf, buffalo, caribou, moose, black bears, grizzly bears, rams, mountains, snow, trees, rivers, check engine lights, hot springs, and non-caffienated Mountain Dew (seriously Canada...WTF!). Oh yeah, and despite what you have ever heard, those Canadians are some super nice folks.
Now I am in Alaska, it is beautiful. Amazingly beautiful. My 10 mile commute to work is probably the most scenic commute EVER!!! We are experiencing warmer and sunnier than usual days. It has been sunny and in the 70s for the last week. I work at a coffee shop, as a barista. It is rad. Both the coffee shop and being a barista.
I live in a little 8x10ish cabin. It is pretty cozy.
The days are super long. I think that I used my headlamp 3 times when we first got here, but have not used it in weeks. The sunsets are around midnight right now, but it never really gets dark. I still wake up at 4am thinking I am late for work, cause it is so light outside.I made Jeff King a latte the other day, he has won the Iditarod 4 times. I had an autographed photo of him on my wall when I was young.
I went on a hike a couple days ago and saw 4 bears, these two were just chilling and screwing around. They would run up this snow patch, and then roll/slide/fall down it, and then they would chase each other around. No Big Deal.

You guys looking for a guest barista, or what? Have tamp, will travel. (I don't really have my own tamp.)
So I was reading some of my old blog entries and I came across this comment from you. I think its better out of context:
The Neil said...
Um.. your weiner is touching my bocca burger.
Best out of context comment ever!
